Zenith Bank tech fair 6.0 to explore AI’s role in Nigeria’s digital future

Zenith Bank Plc has challenged Nigerians, businesses and technology enthusiasts to embrace artificial intelligence as it prepares to host the sixth edition of its flagship technology event, Zenith Bank Tech Fair 2026, scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2026.

The event, tagged Future Forward 6.0, will be held under the theme, “AI: Embrace or Extinct,” highlighting the growing importance of artificial intelligence in business operations, innovation and the rapidly evolving digital economy.

Over the years, the annual Tech Fair has developed into a platform for connecting technology experts, entrepreneurs, startups and young innovators, providing opportunities to showcase emerging solutions, exchange ideas and explore the future of technology.

Conceived by the bank’s Founder, Jim Ovia, CFR, the initiative reflects his vision of empowering young Nigerians through technology and nurturing a new generation of inventors capable of developing innovative solutions with global relevance.

The impact of the initiative is evident in the success of previous participants. Among its beneficiaries is JumpnPass, which developed a self-checkout solution for retail businesses, while CreditChek leveraged artificial intelligence and open banking to simplify credit verification.

At the 2025 edition, TrustLoop emerged as the hackathon winner with its digital identity verification solution, while Cubbes Technologies clinched the startup pitch competition with an artificial intelligence-powered educational technology platform. Through prize funding and mentorship, the bank has continued to support promising innovators in developing solutions to practical challenges.

A major highlight of this year’s edition is the decision to host the event virtually for the first time, opening participation to a wider audience across Nigeria and beyond. The format is expected to broaden access and enable more technology enthusiasts to participate regardless of their location.

Beyond showcasing innovations, the 2026 edition will examine how individuals and organisations can harness artificial intelligence to remain relevant in a technology-driven world. The theme also raises questions about the future of work, business competitiveness and the need for continuous digital adaptation.

Participants will be able to access the event through Zoom, Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, offering multiple channels for engagement with the programme and its discussions on emerging technologies.
