The remembrance of Aare Dr. Bolu Akin-Olugbade, the late Rolls Royce-loving billionaire businessman, is expected to hold on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at his Ilupeju, Lagos residence.
The late Aare Onakankafo of Owu Kingdom reportedly died on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, as a result of COVID-19 complications.

This is the fate that Laduni Akin-Olugbade, the wife of billionaire businessman, Bolu Akin-Olugbade has grappled with two years after the loss of her husband.
For the rest of her life, the woman whose husband died at the peak of the epidemic diseases in 2021, will only take solace in the memories that they shared.
As Bolu died just two years ago and his absence has only made family heart grow fonder of him thus the decision to host a special memorial and prayer session for their departed soul.
The beautiful fashion buff is a right opposite of her late husband who enjoyed societal life to the fullest.
Ladunni detest media publicity like a plague, she would rather channel it to her fashion business.
Akin-Olugbade, in his life time was a revered lawyer who had businesses in the maritime industry and several other sectors lived life to the hilt, enjoying the good things it offered.
He was renowned for his creme lifestyle, enjoying only choice parties, while acquiring exclusive Rolls Royce made for only royalty.
At a point, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Owu Kingdom was said to have had about 10 Rolls Royce, with his name as the plate number.
But it all adds up to nothing for his wife, as she would have gladly given all to have her husband alive.
The father of three boys holds the traditional title of the Aare Ona-Kankanfo of Owu Kingdom.
He was a lawyer and his business interest include property development, construction, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, maritime and offshore services and investment banking.
He attended Corona School, King’s College, Lagos and London University.
Akin-Olugbade had his Master’s Degree in Law from the University of California and obtained his doctorate degree in Company Law at Cambridge University.
During his transition to glory, eminent Nigerians from far and wide penned a tribute messages to the late business magnate.
One of them was businessman and Chairman of the Resort Group, Dr Olawale Babalakin (SAN), who described the late philanthropist, Dr Bolu Akin-Olugbade, as a man who lived a very committed and dedicated life.
Babalakin said, “He was a repertoire of information; he was a living compendium, an entrepreneur per excellence. He was always willing to learn from anybody. He was highly industrious.
“He has achieved his objectives in life. He made his mark – which will stand the test of time,” Babalakin said.
