So sad! Access Bank MD, wife, son die in US helicopter crash
The Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, is dead, Daily Trust is reporting.
The immediate past Managing Director of Access Bank PLC died in a helicopter crash in the United States of America.
According to available information, his wife and son were also in the helicopter that crashed in California, USA.
Daily Trust is reporting that sources in the banking industry confirmed the development to the newspaper.
Further information has it that the Chairman of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, was also in the ill-fated flight.
Wigwe, 57, was a Nigerian banker and entrepreneur.
He was the CEO of Access Holdings Plc, traded as Access Corporation until his death.
He was the Group Managing Director/CEO of Access Bank PLC, one of Nigeria’s top five banking institutions, after succeeding his business partner, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, in January 2014 till April 2022.
