Auto industry has added new face in Nigeria with Mulifelong Motors setting a pace for others to follow.

With lots of experiences in the auto business, Mulifelong Motors is working on battery plant to be unveiled in Lagos soon .

While chatting with press men at CIBN Victoria Island, Lagos recently,

Chairman/Managing Director of Mulifelong Motors, Mulikat Fehintola Sanni revealed that her hands are on desk to unveil a mega project she has been nursing this year.

Mulifelong Motors in association with South Korean business partners are working on battery plant in Nigeria.

” We have a battery project we have been working on all these while. We are very positive that it will work. We are partnering with some South Koreans for the business to kick off in Lagos , Nigeria. We are waiting for the money to be released from our partners”.

With the fear of economic recession in Nigeria currently, Mulifelong boss is very optimistic that the business will strive .

” It will surely strive. We are buying dollar for foreign exchange. On this project, we are talking about job creation here. We are buying batteries from other countries even fake ones are brought in. And on this project, you have some one to set up a business to create job opportunities for the citizens, why won’t you be happy? And also this will put money in our pocket. This will also boost our economy. We need to encourage Nigerians who have companies here . We have to support this project. I mean Mulifelong Motors is pro- Nigeria company. This is one of our policies. We are very optimistic that this country will work”.

She added:

” The first day I met these Koreans we were at a gathering and we went some where and talked and they asked, do I know this business well? I said yes! Auto business is my call area. This kind of business will be one of its kind in West Africa .So they love what we discussed and they say I pay for their expenses which I did when they arrived.I took them to automotive council to do our presentation. The plant was in Lekki Free zone before Dangote. I can beat my chest to that.We have up to about five projects to set up in this company.I took the Koreans to free zone . We did lots of letters. I took them to environmental professor in Nigeria, Professor Alo. We were there together to access the place . They were very happy after Mulifelong Motors presentation .

Foreigners see lots of money in Nigeria, I am very surprised when citizens say they don’t see money in the country. Nigeria is blessed, we have to make it work again .”

On how to move modern brands into auto business , she divulged that Mulifelong has template on her own cars manufactured in Nigeria.

At Mulifelong Motors, we have designed what we call Mulifelong cars. This is not a foreign name. It is one of our projects in this company.

I have grant so many interviews on auto policy and how to revive the auto industry.

I am passionate about cars, because we have the resources. We can make our own money. Despite the fact that I am a female, I can couple a full engine of a car . The mentality, experience is there. When the government set up directorate of employment, I am the first woman that trained auto mechanics in Nigeria. Some were engineers. We need to face the reality with all the natural resources at our disposal.I signed agreement with FERO to revive the place but since past two years they didn’t allow it to work. It is very sad”.

She concluded that Federal Government and State government need to appoint the right people in the right position in order to get it right.

” Innoson motors is proudly Nigeria brand . I love that. Innocent is my colleague, I respect him a lot. Our government need to put the right people on the right track. That is what we need on the way forward. I can remembered vividly In Lagos when fashola set up drivers institution at Odoguyan, Ikorodu, I was there to open the place. In the industry they call me auto queen. We have been doing our best to make Nigeria work”.
