AIG Ahmed Iliyasu Gets New Role As A Committee Member In Zazzau Emirate
The retired police boss of Zone 2 of the Nigerian Police, AIG Ahmed Ibrahim Iliyasu has been appointed as a member of the Zazzau Emirate Committee on Development. This appointment was made by His Royal Highness, Emir Nuhu Bamalli as a recognition of the contribution of the gallant police officer to humanity.
The committee’s official statement reads: ‘I wish to congratulate AIG Iliyasu Ibrahim Ahmed psc(+),dfsin, FAISSON, CSP rtd. on his well deserved appointment into the Central Working Committee of the Zazzau Emirate Committee on Development (ZECOD) by His Royal Highness the Emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli’
‘This appointment is without doubt another testimony to your commitment towards giving your maximum contribution to humanity.
AIG Iliyasu Ibrahim Ahmed is a patriot and an accomplished officer of the Nigerian Police Force, he has to his credit, countless achievements during the course of his service on areas of Police-Civil relationship, crime reduction, war against cultism and drug abuse, internet fraud and other related crimes. His dedication and commitment to duty is second to none.’
The statement released to National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) further reeled out some achievement of AIG Iliyasu during his service to the Nigerian Police, ‘Some of his accomplishments during the course of his career are: the successful rescue of kidnapped schoolchildren of the Turkish International School in Kano and eventual arrest and prosecution of their abductors in 2018, arrest of three young persons who abducted and killed 10year old Ahmed Ado in 2019. While in Lagos, he led the successful recovery of the body of Late Billionaire Ignatius Idenukwe owner of FIRMAN Generators company.’
‘Through out his career in service, AIG Iliyasu Ahmed made crime fighting and prevention a priority, he successfully bursted many kidnapping gangs, drugs cartels, arm robbery gangs, cultist dens among many other exploits’.
In 2020, AIG Ahmed Ibrahim Iliyasu (rtd) bagged the prestigious award as the ‘NAOSNP AIG of the Year’ from the National Association of Online Security News Publishers among other International and National Awards.
The committee noted: ‘In his retirement, he will be remembered as that professional policeman that rose through the ranks of the NPF to the pinnacle of his career and gave his all for the greater good of the Nation and citizens.’
‘The knowledgeable authorities have it that the reward of hardwork is more work, that is why even after your glorious exit of service from the Nigerian Police Force, you are still being sorted after in matters of Nation building and development.’
‘It is our fervent prayers that Allah in his infinite mercy will continue to guide, protect and elevate you even as you continue serving humanity in your usual magnanimity’, the committee prayed.
It’s worthy of note that AIG Ahmed Iliyasu retired from the service of the Nigerian Police as the head of Police Zone II comprising Lagos and Ogun states command few months ago.
