Pictures of Atiku checking into the hotel at 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, in Washington DC surfaced online as news of his surprise visit continue to trend.
Atiku has embarked on the American trip apparently to silence opponents who dared him to visit the U.S. following a series of allegations that he is a wanted man in the country over money laundering issues.
